Visit Vancouver by Land, Sea and Air
When you want to visit Vancouver there are many ways to get here. By Air ![]() To get here by air you will be arriving at the Vancouver International Airport (YVR) located 30 minutes from the center of the city or the smaller Abbotsford International Airport (YXX) that’s about 90 minutes from Vancouver. Your arrival at Vancouver International will be your first opportunity to start snapping photos because the Vancouver airport terminal is beautifully decorated with First Nations totem poles and carvings. From the Abbotsford airport it’s a scenic drive into the city past farmlands and a grand boulevard that divides the highway. There are many services for you to take advantage of on your arrival at either airport. There’s limousine or car rental, taxis, shuttle service to major hotels or even the cruise ship terminal and bus service. By Sea You can take a ferry to Vancouver. There are ferries that go between Vancouver and Vancouver Island as well as the Victoria Clipper that goes from Vancouver to Seattle. Perhaps your arrival by sea will be on one of the many cruise ships that dock here on the way to and from Alaska. By Land The train arrives in Vancouver from across Canada and there is also one that goes between Vancouver and Seattle. The great thing about the train is that you can move around and there is a train car that serves cocktails and has an elevated platform to take pictures from. Getting Here:Arrival Vancoover
